My name is Mayra Tovar, LCSW. am a first-generation Mexican-American psychotherapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker passionate about inclusivity and providing culturally responsive care. My work has spanned intimate partner violence, domestic violence, school social work, and medical social work. I draw from multiple therapeutic modalities including CBT, DBT, Play-based interventions and EMDR to tailor my approach to each client’s unique needs. Therapy is more than a profession for me; it is a calling. I have witnessed the transformative power of compassion, grace, and understanding in helping people navigate trauma, anxiety, and life challenges.
